Yangshan Port Maritime Bureau organized ships wading comprehensive emergency drill

Recently, the 2020 Spring Festival has begun. The Yangshan Port Maritime Bureau, in accordance with the relevant work requirements of the superior for creating a “safe spring transportation, a convenient spring transportation, a warm spring transportation, an honest spring transportation, and a green spring transportation”, they organized water-related engineering vessels under its jurisdiction to conduct comprehensive collision and pollution prevention drill.“Sea Patrol 0109” ship and “Sea Patrol 01093”ship participated in the drill at the scene.
 
At 13:00 on the 13th, with order of the alarm , the comprehensive emergency drill was officially started on the large channel dredging maintenance ship "Xinhaifeng". This drill is divided into two parts. The first part was simulated the "Xinhaifeng" ship was collided with the pontoon at the border of the channel, which caused the ship to break below the waterline. Then the ship started the emergency plugging and drainage plan; the second part was simulated during the anchoring of "Xinhaifeng" ship in the harbor basin, during the patrol inspection, the crew found that the hydraulic elbow of the left harrow arm of the ship burst, and a large amount of hydraulic oil was overflowed, and then launched an anti-oil pollution emergency response plan by deploying oil absorbent pads for oil spill clean up. The simulation of this comprehensive drill was realistic and the participants were quickly responded and proficiently operated. They were able to effectively perform tasks in accordance with the requirements of the emergency deployment table, properly handle ship accidents, and successfully complete all scheduled plans for the entire exercise.
