At 9:30 am on September 16th,sudden water environmental incidents s emergency drillwas carried out on the beach at the southwest corner of the confluence of Shihe and Yiluo Rivers in Gongyi City, about 10 kilometers away from the Yellow River. It is refreshing the applications of monitoring unmanned ships, sampling drones, sonar detection equipment, U-shaped oil booms, unmanned salvage ships, pipeline robots and other high-tech equipment.
The purpose of this drill is to improve the risk prevention and emergency response capabilities of the Yellow River Basin in Zhengzhou City, speed up the implementation of the Yellow River Basin ecological protection and high-quality development strategy in Zhengzhou with great results, and practice the general secretary’s ecological civilization with practical actions thinking and implementing the Yellow River strategy.
After the sewage flowed into the accident site, the Zhengzhou Emergency Command quickly dispatched a helicopter to the traffic accident site for aerial reconnaissance and locked the pollution area. According to experts recommendations, they need intensive monitoring and tracking of pollutant proliferation trends, laying oil booms and oil absorbent pads in the upper reaches of the Yiluo River and the mouth of the Yiluo River into the Yellow River, intercepting and disposing of oily sewage. At the same time, Zhengzhou City dispatched Xingyang City, Shangjie District, Huiji District, Jinshui District, and Zhongmu County to launch emergency plans for environmental emergencies. The Department of Ecology and Environment of Henan Province coordinated Xinxiang, Jiaozuo, Kaifeng and other cities along the lower reaches of the Yellow River to strengthen water quality monitoring.
At 11 o'clock, the underground water gushing of the comprehensive shaft of the coal mine returned to normal, and the comprehensive shaft sewage treatment station was operating normally. The mine water stopped flowing to the drainage channel. The discharged mine water was completely intercepted in the upper reaches of the Dongsi River. The latest monitoring data showed that no pollutants were detected at the mouth of the Yiluo River and the Yellow River, all oily pollutants were intercepted, and the oily sewage did not eventually enter the mainstream of the Yellow River. So far, the spread of the two water pollution accidents has been effectively curbed, and environmental emergencies have been promptly and properly handled. After reporting to the Henan Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment, the emergency response was terminated.
