Suijiang Maritime Department carry out the 2020 dock oil spill emergency drill

In order to ensure the continued stability of the water traffic safety situation in the jurisdiction, and actively respond to terminal safety emergencies, on September 18, the Zhaoqing Suijiang Maritime Office, the United Nations Zhaoqing Thermal Power Co., Ltd. Wharf, Dinghu Port Navigation Office, and Guoyue Water Transportation Company launched the 2020 wharf Oil spill emergency drill. At 9:20 that day, the reporter saw at the Guodian Terminal Office that the responsible personnel of all relevant units were holding a pre-exercise deployment meeting to clarify the responsibilities of the personnel of each department and remind the personnel of each department to pay attention to safety matters. At 10 o'clock, the drill was officially begun. The drill was simulated a fuel leak on the Guoyue XX ship. All departments followed the division of labor deployment, closely cooperated and responded quickly, and carried out the oil leakage gap sealing work in an orderly manner. After the efforts of the emergency team, the oil leak was successfully blocked and the oil spill was effectively controlled. According to the requirements of the emergency plan, they set up an oil booms at the downwind of the oil spill to prevent the spread of oil slicks, and recover the oil slicks on the water surface through throwing oil absorbent pads for eliminating residual oil slicks. After more than an hour of joint actions, the oil spill on the river was effectively controlled and recovered in time. The comprehensive oil spill emergency drill was achieved a complete success.
