The reconstruction of Yangjiang Port Channel is accelerating

The overall progress of the renovation project of Yangjiang Port’s access channel has exceeded 60% and is expected to be completed by the end of 2021. At that time, it will meet the requirements of 100,000-ton bulk carriers for full-load one-way navigation.

It is reported that the Yangjiang Port’s approach channel reconstruction project is about 20.06 kilometers long, with a total investment of 1.028 billion yuan. After the transformation, the depth of the channel will be increased from the original 12 meters to 15 meters, and the bottom width will be widened from the original 150 meters to 230 meters. The project is expected to be completed in December 2021.
