At present, during the dry season of the Yellow River, the water level is falling. The water conservancy department of Zhongwei City in Ningxia has carried out large-scale dredging operations on the channel from Shapotou Junction in Zhongwei City in Ningxia to Baima Township in Zhongning County to ensure the safe flooding and smooth shipping of this channel this year.
More than 200 machines of various types, two dredgers(including silt curtains), and more than 350 engineering personnel have been invested in the project. It is expected to be completed before March 20.
