Zhanjiang Port 300,000-ton-class waterway reconstruction and expansion project accelerates progress

The reconstruction and expansion project of Zhanjiang Port’s 300,000-ton-class waterway was started on August 18, 2019. After the completion of the channel, it will become the province’s first 400,000-ton-class waterway,it also makes Zhanjiang Port the only 400,000-ton ship world-class deep-water port in the province.
 
In order to ensure that the project is put into trial operation on schedule in June 2021, during the Spring Festival, the project department invested in "Junhai 2" ship, "Junhai 6" ship, "Yuanlong" ship, "Huaanlong" ship, "Zhelugong002" ship and "Zhelugong003" ship(including
silt curtains) to carry outcontinuous operation of large ships. Since the start of construction in 2019, about 84% of the total amount of the project has been completed, and it has entered the sweeping stage.
