The first port ship pollutant reception service station in Liangxi District was officially put into operations

The reporter learned from the Municipal Port and Shipping Development Center yesterday that the first port ship pollutant reception service station in Liangxi District was officially put into operations, it will contribute to the construction of "beautiful rivers and lakes".
 
According to the relevant person in charge, after the collection of ship pollutants, on the basis of classified treatment by "Xi Sewage Collection No. 1" ship, domestic waste will be transferred and disposed of by contracted sanitation vehicles; domestic sewage and oily sewage will be incorporated into sewage pipe network discharge after being treated in different procedures to meet the standards.
 
In addition, "Xi Sewage Collection No. 2" ship is also equipped with high-power fire pumps, fixed rotating fire monitors, and oil spill emergency material rescue warehouses(including oil absorbent pads,oil absorbent booms,oil booms,etc.). It can cooperate with industry management departments to carry out water fire fighting and environmental protection emergency rescue tasks, and contribute to the safety and environmental protection of Wuxi inland waterways.
