2018 Qinghai Lake water joint emergency search and rescue drill was held

On September 20, 2018 Qinghai Lake water joint emergency search and rescue drill was carried out in the waters near Qinglang Lake Erlangjian, aiming to further improve the safety supervision of Qinghai Lake waterway transportation and maximize the safety of life and property and ecological environment. The drill was consisted of five subjects, including ship firefighting and tourist reprinting and other three subjects, which was lasted for 90 minutes. A total of 33 boats and more than 200 people participated in the drill.
 
At 11 o'clock in the morning, the drill was officially begun. The site simulated the ship's fire accident and then caused water pollution. The relevant departments started the emergency plan according to the procedures, organized the rescue forces to carry out emergency treatment, and finally successfully rescued the people in distress, effectively controlled the pollution source and cleared the entire process of oil spill by deploying oil booms and oil absorbent pads. The drill comprehensively examined the feasibility, rationality and timeliness of the Qinghai Lake waters emergency plan, and tested the applicability and effectiveness of the ship life-saving, fire-fighting, escape, and water pollution prevention facilities in Qinghai Lake waters. It is of great significance for safe and stable operation of road transportation work.
 
According to the relevant person in charge of the Qinghai Lake Scenic Area Protection and Utilization Bureau, in the future, daily drills and practical drills will be combined to continuously improve the emergency response team's response abilities, , and tourists can rest assured. It is purposed to lay a foundation to create quality services, safety and order, tourist assured scenic spot.
