Yibin Maritime Bureau conducted oil spill emergency drill

In order to continue to do a good job in water ship anti-pollution and create a good atmosphere for everyone to protect the Yangtze River, on November 8, 2018, Yibin Maritime Bureau took the lead in holding an oil spill emergency drill. The participating units were included the Yibin Police Station, Yibin City Navigation Administration, Yibin Cuiping Marine Department, Changjiang No. 1 Refueling wholesale and Sanjiang Rescue Service Center.
 
This exercise was simulated an operational oil spill accident when the ship was carry out oil refueling operations. The drill was officially started at 14:30 on the same day. According to the exercise plan and the deployment requirements, the two sea patrol boats participating in the rescue were responsible for the rescue command and alert maintenance tasks. Yibin Sanjiang Rescue Service Center dispatched the rescue fleets “Sanjiang Maintenance xxx” and “Generation X” to the accident waters to carry out oil spill recovery. After the on-site rescue, part of the simulated oil spill was blocked and recycled by the oil booms; part of the oil spilled into the river was treated and recovered by oil absorbent pads. The oil into the river was all salvaged at 15:10 and the drill was announced the end of the drill.
 
At the review meeting after the drill, Deputy Director Liang Lin from Yibin Maritime Bureau made a comment on the response process, exercise procedures and emergency response plan, and emphasized to everyone: Firstly, the exercise is further tested everyone's emergency response capability, the shortcomings in the exercise process should be strengthened and improved; the second is to warn everyone of the importance of protecting the beautiful Yangtze River, and call on everyone to Guided by the conviction that lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets.
