The drill was simulated when the ship was berthing at the gas station during the process of escaping the gas station, which caused the fuel oil leaked. The gas station of Zhongchangran Port Area immediately launched an emergency plan, carried out emergency disposal, and reported to the Cihu Maritime Department. After received the report, the maritime department immediately dispatched a sea patrol boat to the scene to make direct emergency dispose. After the situation was identified, the gas station immediately transferred the "broken" cabin fuel, laid out oil booms, placed the oil absorbent pads, and blocked the "broken" cabin. The maritime department promptly contacted the ship pollutant receiving unit to recover the leaked fuel, and contacted the search and rescue unit to dispatch the tugboat to tow away the runaway ship. The drill was achieved a complete success after the prompt action of the participants, strong sense of responsibility, efficient information exchange, and strong support from external forces. Finally, the drill comment was held at the gas station of Zhongchangran Port.
The holding of this drill is an effective exercise for the coordination ability of the participating units and the ship pollution emergency response level. It is also a powerful propaganda for promoting the construction of beautiful Yangtze River, preventing ship pollution and protecting the Yangtze River waters.
