Quxian Country Hedong Township 2018 annual large-scale ship emergency drill was successfully held

In order to improve the emergency response level of the province's navigation maritime team and to protect the lives and property of the people, at 15.00 pm on December 5, Sichuan Provincial Local Maritime Bureau, Dazhou Municipal Transportation Bureau, and Quxian People's Government jointly cooperated with Dazhou City Local Maritime Bureau, the Quxian County People's Government Emergency Office and the Quxian Transportation Bureau to hold a large-scale ship in the Hedong Township Nanyangtan Ship Lock Dam Waters.
 
This drill was mainly consisted of five subjects, such as the voyage of large-scale uncontrolled vessels in distress and self rescue, risk-aversion vessels along the river, mass transfer along the river, large-scale uncontrolled ship rescue, and oil spill disposal in distressed vessels. The Sichuan Provincial Local Maritime Bureau Emergency Rescue Team, the Quxian Local Maritime Department, Quxian Waterway Management Section, and the Nanyangtan Shiplock Management Office participated in the exercise.
 
Before the exercise, Zhu Hezhi, member of the Standing Committee of the County Party Committee and Secretary of the County Political and Legal Committee, delivered a speech on this exercise, he requested all personnel improved their safety awareness, done a good job in ship rescue work in order to ensure that the safe and orderly of the drill and reached a good result. During the drill, the alarm sounded, the command team and the rescue maritime ships quickly arrived at the designated location, immediately notified all ships within 3 km of the waters to transfer and hedge, and immediately rescued the large uncontrolled vessel, quickly evacuated it to safety waters. At the same time, the water surface leaked pollutants were cleared by oil booms and oil absorbent pads. The five subjects of this drill were completed in an orderly manner. The drill had lasted for 40 minutes. Finally, the Provincial Maritime Supervision Bureau commented on the drill and praised the development of the event and fully affirmed the relevant preparatory units and all staffs.
