Lujiang Marine Department launched 2018 ship collision comprehensive emergency desktop deduction drill

In order to strengthen the water traffic safety emergency handling work in the jurisdiction, and comprehensively improve the emergency response capacities of each water transport enterprise, on December 7, the Lujiang Maritime Department cooperated with Qijiang County Transportation Bureau to carry out a desktop deduction of the ship collision emergency drill. The heads of the eight water transport enterprises in the jurisdiction participated in the exercise.
 
This drill was simulated the collision of two sand and gravel ships in the Xihe waters. The ship's stern shaft leaked oil and one crew member fell into the water. This desktop deduction is divided into emergency response, search and rescue operations, ship plugging, and oil spill disposal by deploying oil booms and throwing oil absorbent pads, information release these scenarios with preset scenarios and script-assisted modes, which was simulated the whole process of ship collision comprehensive emergency response.
 
This emergency drill was well organized and the process was well ordered. The personnel of each unit worked closely to test the scientific and practicality of the ship collision emergency plan, and enhanced the water emergencies disposal capacities of the maritime port and shipping companies and water transport enterprises. This drill was achieved the expected drill results.
