Three “smelly rivers” in Huixian County are being dredged

According to the requirements of the black odor water body remediation and water system comprehensive remediation tasks by the superiors, the Municipal Housing and Construction Bureau actively planned and promoted the implementation of the black odor water body remediation project and the basic supporting facilities such as municipal roads and drainage. At present, the rectification work of the black and odorous water bodies in the urban Baiquan River, Wenchang River and Dongyi Canal is progressing in an orderly manner.
 
According to the data, the lengths of the three black and odorous water bodies in Huixian County are 4.56 km, 4.28 km and 5.3 km length respectively. It is planned to complete the interception of sewage pipes and river dredging work before December 20, 2018. It is deploying silt curtains and using excavator.
 
Since the beginning of this year, Huixian City has insisted on the improvement project of Baicheng Construction as the leading project of transformation and development, the guarantee project for the improvement of people's livelihood and the basic project of civilized construction, in accordance with the development goals of “Tourism Paradise, Taihang Water Town, Cultural Holy Land and Vibrant New City”. The total planned investment is 34.74 billion Yuan, and 119 projects for the implementation of the three-year action plan will be implemented for improving the quality of the city.
