Qingpu District Maritime Department conducts water emergency drill

Recently, the Qingpu District Maritime Department carried out a water emergency drill, and simulated the collision of two ships in the waters of the Zhufeng Highway Bridge in the Changhu Shenxian (Shanghai section). The trouble ship escaped, the damaged ship was lost power, the fuel was leaked, and the ship was in a position of the 200 meters water intake of the waterworks, and the situation was very dangerous.
 
After received the report, the Taipu River Maritime Office of the local maritime department immediately launched an emergency plan and quickly carried out rescue work. Huhaixun No. 113 ship was quickly arrived at the scene and found that there was 20 meters long, 3 meters wide oil belt around the ship in distress, and it took the direction of the wind to the water intake, and then they took measures to plug the ship in distress. After the Huhaixun No.158 ship arrived at the scene, it immediately laid the oil booms on the polluted waters and used the oil absorbent pads to remove the oil and avoid the spread of oil. At this point, the cargo ship suddenly invented the fire, the situation was in crisis, and then the rescuers used high-pressure water guns to spray the fire parts, and extinguished the fire in the first time.
 
Subsequently, the maritime rescue boat closely cooperated and towed the ship in distress to the maritime terminal for further disposal. At the same time, it traced the ship and ordered it to stop at the Taipu River Maritime Terminal for investigation. The waters of Zhufeng Highway Bridge of Changhu Shenxian (Shanghai Section) resumed normal navigation.
 
The actual drill was smoothly and orderly carried out plugging, fire prevention, pollution prevention, pursuit, on-site monitoring and other subjects, fully verified and improved the Qingpu Maritime Water Emergency plan, and accumulated practical experience for the water security work.
