Suzhou Maritime carried out anti-pollution emergency drill

At the beginning of the "Spring Festival" in 2019, in order to ensure the safety of important civilian resources such as coal and electricity, yesterday morning, the Suzhou Municipal Maritime Bureau and the Baodai Bridge Maritime Party Branch cooperated with the Water Law Enforcement Brigade, the Jiangyuan Thermal Power Plant Party Branch to carry out a water anti-pollution emergency drill in the Yujiangyuan Thermal Power Plant Wharf and build a “water green channel” for the Spring Festival.
 
The drill was a “paperless” practical exercise. The drill was simulated the ship found a large area of oil pollution near the terminal of Jiangyuan Thermal Power Plant during the voyage. During the drill, the Baodai Bridge Maritime Office immediately dispatched personnel to the scene after received the alarm, and reported to the command center that requested them to dispatch nearby sea patrol boats to go for help. After the sea patrol arrived at the oil slick site, the oil booms were set up to control the continuous spread of oil pollution. The multi-purpose boat “Suhai patrol 1516” ship used the oil skimmer to recover the leaking oil in time. Subsequently, the maritime law enforcement officers drove the assault boat into the surface of the accident, laid out the oil absorbent pads for absorbing all the remaining oil.
