On May 16, 2019, the first section of the construction of the Baguazhou Chadao River Dredging Project of the Nanjing Section of the Yangtze River was carried out to sudden ship oil spill accidents emergency drill at the project site. The drill steps were mainly included the discovery of dangerous reports, the timely disposal of various duties, and the improvement of the site. Through this drill, the on-site construction personnel are further familiar with the emergency disposal procedures and their respective duties of sudden oil spill accidents, improve the actual operation and emergency response abilities, and respond promptly and effectively at critical times to effectively reduce and eliminate the environmental impact of oil spill accidents. Construction units, construction units, engineering and environmental supervision units and other participating units participated in and observed the emergency drill. They deployed oil booms for oil spill control and used oil absorbent pads for oil spill clean up.
The river dredging project is one of the 172 major water conservancy projects for water conservation and water supply identified by the State Council. In strict accordance with the EIA report and the approval requirements, the Construction Office will effectively improve the environmental awareness and environmental protection capabilities of the participating units in accordance with the implementation of various environmental protection measures, and carry out environmental protection work throughout the entire project construction process.
