Haining Hangping Shenxian held the first water emergency drill

On the occasion of the full navigation of Haining's first high-grade navigation channel, the Hangping Shenxian (Haining section), in order to further strengthen the coordination of water search and rescue work, timely dispose water pollution, and effectively respond to water emergencies, On May 9th, Haining City Transportation Bureau The members of the Inland Water Emergency Support Center, such as the Municipal Public Security Bureau, and the Haining Seal Rescue Team jointly launched a joint water emergency drill for in the waters of the Hangping Shenxian (Haining section).
 
At the beginning of the drill, the Port and Shipping Administration, the Water Police Station and the Seal Rescue Team of the Municipal Transportation Bureau dispatched nearly 10 boats, such as maritime patrol boats, public security boats and assault boats, to form a vertical squad on the Hangping Shenxian (Haining section). In turn, the formation was reviewed by the rostrum. Then, a series of water rescue exercises such as centrifugal force rescue, throwing device rescue, live bait rescue, and diving salvage were carried out. Finally, two sea patrol boats from the Port and Shipping Administration quickly opened the oil booms to prevent the spread of oil pollution and exercised emergency treatment of oil traffic accidents.
 
Participants also visited the remote video surveillance system and emergency command system of the upcoming water emergency support command center. They learned about the construction of the central software and hardware projects in detail, and asked about the distribution and operation status of the water video surveillance points in the city. Afterwards, they visited the five exhibition areas of “The Image of the Exhibition Hall”, “Impression of Port and Harbor”, “Revitalization of Water Transport”, “Cultural Construction” and “Development Vision” of Haining Water Transport Culture Exhibition Hall, and learned about Haining's water transport situation and port and shipping development during the 40 years of reform and opening up.
 
By enabling the Haining Water Emergency Support Command Center, using scientific means to ensure waterway traffic safety, and organizing this emergency drill, it was accumulated practical experience in water traffic emergency response, and enhanced the practicality and operability of emergency plans. It was further enhanced the soft and hard strength of water safety and provided safety for the high-quality development of Haining Water Transport.
