At 8 o'clock in the morning on May 3, the Ximin River channel in the Shenzhen section of Suqian Economic and Technological Development Zone was rumbling. A number of excavators in the river and on the river bank waving long arm relayed to clear the mud.
The reporter learned at the scene that Ximin River is a regional backbone drainage channel in the surrounding area of Hongze Lake, which is responsible for the drainage of the main urban area of Suqian City, and also the diversion irrigation channel of the area. Before the arrival of the rainy season this year, the Suqian Economic Development Zone will manage the Ximin River in advance, mainly for the river section elevation and river bottom width reconstruction and dredging by using silt curtains and excavators.
Suqian Hengrun Waterworks Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. is responsible for the renovation project of Ximin River (from the Yingbin Avenue to Yangdahe rubber dam). The project manager Bai Jiguang introduced that the Ximin River will be dredged by dry construction, the river channel is divided into sections and the cofferdam is built. After that, the pumping water in the reclamation area is drained by a water pump, and then dredging is carried out. The Ximin River has been dredged for more than a month, and more than 20 excavators have been relayed every day. It is expected that the river channel will be cleared.
