Yangpu Maritime Bureau conducts maritime oil transfer emergency drill

On the morning of June 14, Yangpu Maritime Bureau conducts maritime oil transfer emergency drill in the Baimajing Anchorage (commercial and fishing port anchorage)
 
According to reports, the drill was divided into three projects: oil spill, fire protection and lifesaving. The oil spill drill was simulated oil pipe hose of the ship was burst during the oil transfer operations, and the oil spilled on the deck, then caused pollution, it will use oil absorbent pads and oil booms for oil spill control and clean-up; the fire drill was simulated the ship's generator switchboard line overload and then caused fire during the shuttle operations; life-saving drill was simulated when the crew was cleaning the fire, a crew member fell into the water.
 
After the drill was begun, the crew members started the emergency plan according to their respective duties and conducted drills on a case-by-case basis. During the 120-minute drill, subjects such as accident report, accident site control, emergency response, and on-site command were drilled.
 
After the finish of exercise, the law enforcement officers of the Maritime Bureau convened the participating units to conduct on-site reviews, pointed out the existing problems, and requested improvements in the follow-up.
 
The drill was aimed to closely follow the theme of the "Safe Production Month" campaign, strengthen the on-site simulation exercises,improve the communication links between the units at the maritime emergency response, and enhance the actual combat capabilities of each unit to deal with sudden accidents at sea.
