Simao Port held a water traffic emergency comprehensive drill

Recently, Simao District Simao Port held a water traffic emergency comprehensive drill.
 
The Simao Maritime Bureau has developed a thorough exercise program to carry out drill; it will be in conjunction with anti-terrorism security, medical rescue and maritime investigations. During the drill, the Simao Maritime Bureau received a report that “the ship was in a fire in the cabin, they suspected that the terrorists deliberately set fire and the crew was injured.” Immediately after the report, the emergency plan was launched, the accident was reported to the higher authorities, and the sea patrol boats and the nearby ships were dispatched to rescue, at the same time, they informed the medical institution to rescue the wounded and the public security department to investigate, and the public security department arrested the terrorists. Due to serious fire and damage of the ship's main engine, the ship was out of control and sent a distress signal. Simao Maritime Bureau immediately organized the nearby ships for towing rescue. In the rescue work, the ship was found to have oil spills, and the Simao Maritime Bureau immediately organized the waterway maintenance department to remove oil by using oil booms and oil absorbent pads.
 
The 8 ships, 6 vehicles and more than 200 personnel participated in this drill. It is the largest, most extensive and most subjective water traffic safety emergency drill in the Simao Port.
 
The drill was hosted by Simao Maritime Bureau and organized by Pu'er Jiangzhong Trading Co., Ltd., 13 departments and units participated in this drill.
