2019 Eastern South China Sea joint search and rescue and oil spill emergency joint drill was held

On November 15th, 2019 Eastern South China Sea joint search and rescue and oil spill emergency joint drill was held in the waters off the dock of Huizhou Port Logistics Base, which was jointly organized by Huizhou Maritime Bureau and China National Offshore Oil (China) Co., Ltd. Shenzhen Branch. There were 11 ships, 4 drones, 1 helicopter, and more than 200 people participated in this drill.
The drill was simulated the collision of a dangerous chemical ship and a bulk carrier. Many crew members fell into the water, the ships were out of control, and the dangerous chemicals ship broke through the oil spill. After received the dangerous situation, the Huizhou Maritime Department immediately coordinated a number of ships and helicopters for search and rescue, and jointly cooperated with various emergency rescue forces to rescue. The rescue contents include four emergency response subjects such as emergency response, personnel search and rescue, marine oil spill containment by deploying oil booms, and oil spill removal by throwing oil absorbent pads and spraying oil dispersants.
