Wuxi, Wushan and Fengjie maritime departments jointly carried out water emergency drill

Recently, Wuxi, Wushan, and Fengjie Maritime departments jointly held 2019 Yudong cross-regional cooperation water accident rescue drill in the Daning River, it is tested the emergency response and coordination abilities of the three places in the Yangtze River tributaries.
 
The drill was simulated when a cruise ship was sailing from Wuxi County to Wushan County, the cabin suddenly burst into flames while it was sailing to the waters near the Huatai Town of Daning River, and the tourists suddenly panicked and swarmed to the bow. A tourist was fallen into the river and the situation was very critical.
 
After received the alarm, Wuxi, Wushan and Fengjie maritime departments immediately launched a water emergency plan. After received the instructions, nine rescue boats rushed to the scene of the accident, and the Wuxi Blue Sky Rescue Team gave assistance to the rescue. The on-site commander decided that the Daning River would fully implement the waterway ban, they sent a boat to rescue the drowning and trapped passengers, and sprayed water on the fire-fighting point of the cabin of the accident vessel. The staffs of the County Natural Environment Bureau carried the oil booms and the oil absorbent pads to collect the oil on the water surface and tested the water quality around the accident. After coordinated cooperation, the water incident was successfully disposed.
