Recently, a large-scale maritime emergency rescue and oil spill emergency drill was held in Beihai, Guangxi. The drill was simulated the Beiwei passenger ship carrying 500 passengers collided with a steel fishing boat during the voyage. The accident caused the fishing boat to sink. 12 fishermen fell into the water and the fuel was leaked. The hull of the passenger ship in the North Tour was seriously damaged and the engine room flooded out of control, the ship severely tilted, and some passengers were injured. The drill was set six themes: traffic control, air search and rescue equipment delivery, rescue of distressed people, large-scale passenger transfer at sea, medical rescue at sea and removal of oil by deploying oil booms and oil absorbent pads.
