The Quanzhou Bay Jinshang waterway maintenance dredging project was started

Recently,The Quanzhou Bay Jinshang waterway maintenance dredging project was started. The Quanzhou Bay Jinshang waterway serves the Huajin Wharf in the Jinshang operating area, and the channel can meet the one-way navigation of 35,000-ton ships by tide.
 
As the emerging port area of Quanzhou Port, Jinshang Operation Area has been rapidly developed in recent years, which has greatly eased the pressure of Quanzhou Port ’s port-side industry and industrial cargo imports and exports, and meets the needs of large-scale ship development and rear port-side industrial transportation. In 2019, The cargo throughput in the operation area was 18.7766 million tons with an increase of 11.50%; the container throughput was 399,000 TEUs with an increase of 20.53%.
 
Since Jinshang Fairway was put into operation in 2016, it has provided important public infrastructure guarantee for ships entering and leaving the port of Huajin Terminal in the Jinshang operating area. This time, the maintenance dredging project for the partial siltation of the Jinshang Waterway will effectively improve the navigation conditions, reduce the navigation risk of the channel, ensure the safety of ships entering and leaving the port, and help the port enterprises to resume production.It will used engineering dredging ships( with the silt curtains)for construction.
