Lianyungang waters hold comprehensive maritime search and rescue drill

Lianyungang hold the 2020 Lianyungang "Huanghai No. 4" maritime search and rescue comprehensive exercise in the Xuwei Port District of Lianyungang Port on the morning of August 31.

The drill is divided into four subjects: maritime ship security, personnel overboard rescue, ship oil spill removal by using oil absorbent pads and oil booms, ship fire and firefighting by using fire extinguisher. It is estimated that there will be 20 boats and planes and 200 personnel participating in the exercise, and it will last about 60 minutes. Aiming at the current characteristics of the Lianyungang Port waters with a large number of ships under construction, a complex navigable environment, a high risk of maritime pollution, and difficulty in rescue, the exercise organized a comprehensive maritime search and rescue exercise. The process covered all the contents of accidents, plan activation, emergency treatment and rescue. At the same time, in response to the current severe situation in the prevention and control of the epidemic situation, the exercise will intersperse the relevant contents of the epidemic prevention and control. The Lianyungang Maritime Department will issue a maritime navigation warning in advance. On the day of the exercise, temporary traffic control will be implemented in the Xuwei Port area to remind the past. Vessels should keep clear and stay away from the waters of the exercise.
