Jianli City held a joint search and rescue drill in the waters of Yanpu Ferry. The drill was simulated that Yanpu Ferry No. 1 collided with a passing cruise ship due to its deviation from the course when ferrying vehicles, and it was subsequently occurred a series of dangerous situations: 5 tourists fell into the water, scattered objects on the ferry caught fire, and the ferry tail shaft lubricant leaked.
 
After the accident, the relevant departments received a call for help and quickly dispatched forces to the scene for rescue. The maritime department implemented temporary traffic control in the water area. Marine patrol vessels rescued the people who fell into the water and transferred the wounded. 120 ambulances rescued the wounded, and cargo ships carried 119 fire trucks,they implemented fire extinguishing on the accident vessel.The participants effectively completed the exercises such as the search and rescue of persons in the water and the transfer of persons in distress, ship firefighting and rescue, ship oil spill handling by using oil booms and oil absorbent pads and channel emergency rescue in 50 minutes.
