Songpan County Baiyang Township take precautions for dredging the river

In recent years, the Songpan County Party Committee and the County Government have insisted on combining river dredging with flood prevention and disaster reduction. According to “scientific dredging and turning waste into treasure”, Songpan County has taken various measures to carry out flood dredging and comprehensive river improvement of the Xunqian River this year to make solid progress in the Minjiang River Basin. The comprehensive ecological management of the Baicao River ensures the spaciousness of the river and the safety of flood discharge during the flood season.
 
This period is the dry season of the Baicao River. Songpan County has seized the opportunity to carry out in-depth investigations of potential safety hazards in flood control, and carried out comprehensive dredging of rivers in Baiyang Township before the flood by using silt curtains and dredgers.
 
This time, Baiyang Township Songpan County carried out dredging of key river sections with severe siltation to clean up riverbed sediments and improve the flood-carrying capacity of the river.
