Xinghua City jointly held ship oil spill emergency drill
28/Feb/2019
Recently, a tight special ship oil spill emergency drill was kicked off in the Xinghua Liulu Oilfield crude oil handling dock.
During the drill, the on-duty workers routinely inspected and found that the oil hoses in the east side of the oil pipeline were perforated, and leaked oil, and the oil and gas were sprayed outside. Some of the crude oil flowed into the river and gathered on the river. After the "accident" occurred, the on-duty workers immediately stopped the external pump, cut off the emergency valve, informed the tanker personnel to evacuate quickly, cut off the power supply of the terminal, and reported step by step according to the requirements of the plan, and quickly uploaded it. The emergency response team of the oil production management area started the emergency plan for the leakage of Liulu Wharf. A few minutes later, the maritime, port and other departments received accident reports.
Within 15 minutes, the maritime, port and other departments organized personnel to rush to the scene and immediately started operations: on the one hand, water traffic control was implemented on the spot to prevent other vessels from entering the site and causing secondary pollution. On the other hand, the use of sea patrol boats quickly deployed the oil booms to prevent the further spread of crude oil, and simultaneously used the oil skimmer, kayaking and oil absorbent pads to clean the leaked waters, and the cleaning operations were lasted for about 1 hour.
