Port and shipping system Conducted Xigang District emergency drill

Recently, the port and shipping system carried out a live 300,000 tons of crude oil leakage drill in the Xigang District of Yantai Port. The drill was hosted by the administration of port and shipping and was organized by Shandong United Energy Pipeline Transportation Co., Ltd., it was aimed to a comprehensive drill for the emergency situation of oil spills at the terminal.
 
The drill was simulated when the 300,000-ton crude oil tanker carried out unloading operation in the terminal; it was suddenly encountered strong gusts. The lateral displacement of the ship caused the oil delivery arm to detach temporarily. The valve was not locked and closed in time, and the crude oil in the oil delivery arm and the crude oil in the ship's pipeline were leaked. The pipeline company immediately launched a special emergency plan for oil spills to carry out on-site disposal. The disposal process was included four stages: accident report and on-site disposal, establishment of on-site command headquarters for organizing emergency rescue, marine oil spill disposal by using oil booms and oil absorbent pads, and restoration of production. In this exercise, a total of 2 fire engines, 7 ships, 1 drone, and 49 participants were participated in this drill.
 
Through this exercise, Shandong United Energy Pipeline Transportation Co., Ltd. improved the emergency coordination capability, emergency command capability and emergency team's emergency response capability for emergencies, and improved the overall emergency management level of the company. At the same time, it has further improved the emergency rescue linkage mechanism between the pipeline company and its neighboring enterprises, deepened the construction of the safe and natural port of our district, and improved the level of safety production management.
