Jiangyin Maritime Bureau instructed dangerous chemicals terminal ship-shore emergency drill

In order to further promote the construction of the hazardous chemicals supervision demonstration zone in Shiligang District of Jiangyin, and further improve the anti-pollution emergency disposal capabilities of dangerous goods terminals in the jurisdiction, Jiangyin Maritime Bureau has participated in the implementation of the ship-shore emergency drill in the Alpha Petrochemical Terminal.
This drill was simulated the gasoline pipeline in the No. 1 operation area of the terminal was damaged by suspicious personnel, causing the ship's gasoline to leak in the port area and causing fire during the disposal of oil. After the accident, the terminal control operator immediately notified the ship to stop the pump and close the on-line pipeline valve, and required to immediately close the relevant pipeline connection valve. Subsequently, the emergency plan was started. The fire rescue team and the on-site disposal team quickly arrived at the scene to start emergency rescue. The firefighters immediately opened the foam gun to extinguish the fire. At the same time, the water emergency unit was in place to prevent oil from entering the Yangtze River by using oil absorbent pads and oil booms. Half an hour joint efforts later. The fire was extinguished, the pollution was controlled and disposed, and the exercise was over. After the exercise, the maritime department fully affirmed the exercise and put forward some suggestions and pointed out the shortcomings in the exercise.
