Badong carried out water oil spill emergency drill

The Yichang Maritime Bureau, together with the People ’s Government of Badong County carried out a water oil spill emergency drill in the waters of the Changdu River waters.  
 
A total of 11 emergency ships were dispatched during the exercise. There were 10 participating units and more than 80 personnel participated in this drill. The drill was simulated the collision accident when the ship downhilled to the waters of Changdu River waters. The ship was blocked after self-rescue and there were no casualties. It is estimated that there are 3 tons of diesel leakage. The Yichang Badong Maritime Department immediately launched an emergency plan, organized ships to install oil booms, and deployed oil skimmers and other equipment. After nearly 40 minutes of coordinated work, the leaked diesel was successfully collected and disposed.
