The expansion and upgrading of Shaoguan Beijiang Channel has entered the sprint stage

At present, the construction of the second-line ship lock of Mengzhouba Junction, the last "gateway" of the Beijiang Channel Expansion and Upgrade Project, has entered the final sprint stage. The project includes the upstream and downstream approach channel, the main body of the ship lock, and temporary works. The channel project (from Shaoguan to Wushi) is totally 34.5km long, including the channel improvement project(by using silt curtains and dredgers), underwater reef blasting project, navigation mark project, underwater dredging project bridge and so on.
