Rushan City maritime search and rescue center held a marine oil spill emergency response drill

09/Dec/2020

The Rushan Maritime Search and Rescue Center held the first marine oil spill emergency response drill in the waters of Rushan Port. This drill was simulated when a ship was carrying out the refueling operation at the Rushan Port,  fuel was leaking into the sea. The Rushan Port Group's oil spill emergency response team was immediately organized and coordinated to carry the cleaning equipment and equipment from the Rushan oil spill emergency equipment warehouse to the scene to carry out marine oil spill containment and removal operations after the Rushan Maritime Search and Rescue Center received an alarm.

The drill was based on the principle of being close to actual combat. For the first time in the drill, the rotary skimmer, oil spill dispersants spraying equipment, and oil booms equipped in the oil spill emergency equipment warehouse in Rushan City were used for simulated oil spill handling operations.
