Ningbo Petroleum Maritime Oil Spill Emergency Drill was Held

At noon yesterday, Ningbo Shipping Bureau and the Nanjing Petroleum Transportation Department of Sinopec Pipeline Storage and Transportation Branch jointly conducted a maritime oil spill emergency drill in Hangzhou Bay.
 
With the rapid development of the Ningbo-Zhoushan port economy, the number of ships passing through the region and the number of ships carrying dangerous goods have increased dramatically. The three submarines that transport large arteries cross the Hangzhou Bay waters, it was increased the risk of oil spills. In response to this situation, the Ningbo Municipal Navigation Bureau set up the "Surface Sudden Oil Spill Emergency Disposal Plan" and tested its practicability and operability through drills.
 
In the morning that day, the drill was simulated the sudden rupture and leakage of the Sinopec pipelines. The Nanjing Petroleum Transport Department discovered the dangerous situation and quickly launched a contingency plan to initiate emergency operations for oil spill cleanup at sea. According to instructions, the Ningbo navigation mark dispatched two landing crafts, Haitou 1048 and Haibiao 1045, and rushed to the scène. Inflatable rubber booms were placed on site and oil skimmers were used to simulate a spray dispersant. One hour later, the oil spill at sea was effectively “controlled”, the water pollution was successfully removed, and the subjects were completed.
