Today, Suzhou city held water search and rescue and anti-pollution emergency disposal drill. The maritime department jointly cooperated with the public security, fishery administration, and blue sky rescue team to successfully complete the personnel evacuation, rescue, and ship pollution prevention tasks of the uncontrolled ship personnel. It was improved the emergency coordination capabilities for incidents.
This drill was simulated a series of dangerous situations: a passenger ship carrying 50 passengers suddenly caught fire in the engine room during the sailing process, it was caused the ship to lose control; the passenger ship successively collided with another empty passenger ship and a fishing boat, and the personnel fell into the water; During the personnel evacuation process, two people dived to escape and one person was injured; the ship was damaged, the fuel was leaked, and the water body was polluted by spilled oil.
Faced with one danger after another, multi-department was jointly cooperated, during the one-hour drill, a total of 6 sea patrol boats and maritime search and rescue boats, 1 fishery boat, 1 public security boat, 5 social boats and 2 blue sky rescue boats are dispatched, and more than 60 participants. They have completed drills in various subjects such as fire fighting, personnel rescue, traffic control, and ship pollution prevention by using oil booms and oil absorbent pads.
