An oil spill and life-saving emergency drill was carried out in the waters of Longzhouyuan

On the morning of June 9th, Jingzhou Shashi Maritime Department organized Jingzhou District and  Port and Shipping Center to carry out an emergency drill for oil spill and lifesaving drill in the waters of the Longzhou embankment. Deputy Director Wu Yinghong of Shashi Division came to the scene to participate in the guidance.

At 10:30 a.m. on June 9th, when the Chenjiawan ferry carrier in Jingzhou section of the Yangtze River carried out refueling operations, the barge's oil pipeline suddenly broke. The oil clerk immediately shouted when he found it, and the employees all rushed to the scene and closed  the oil delivery valves immediately and requested support. After receiving the danger alarm, the port and shipping center immediately launched an emergency plan. The law enforcement boat quickly rushed to the scene and worked with the employees of the Sinopec station to spread the oil booms to the stern of the barge to prevent the expansion of pollution. At the same time, they threw oil absorbent pads on the surface of the river to absorb oil, and notified Haochuan Shangmao Jiangjing No. 1 ship to recover the leaked oil.

At 10:50, a crew on the transport ship panicked and fell into the water from the left (right) side of the ship. The rescue team took a lifeboat and immediately carried out a search and rescue. They threw the life buoy and used bamboo pole hooks to assist the falling water personnel to climb into the lifeboat, with everyone's efforts, the drowning personnel was successfully rescued, and after a simple treatment at the scene, He was taken to an ambulance and sent to the nearest hospital. At the same time, after careful inspection by the staffs in the station, the oil spill has been reported to the area for replacement due to the aging and rupture of the pipeline.
