The Kaiyun regional linkage water traffic emergency emergency drill initiated by the Kaizhou District was successfully held in Kaizhou Port.
At 9:40 in the morning, after the commander-in-chief issued the drill start order, the emergency drill officially was begun. The drill was simulated a landslide disaster on the river bank, which caused a mudslide. A small passenger ship carrying 10 people collided with a cargo ship traveling on the opposite direction during an emergency escape, causing one passenger of the small passenger ship to be injured and two passengers falling into the water. The cargo ship’s engine room caught fire and fuel oil leaked. The situation was urgent and needed rescue. After receiving the alarm, the Port and Shipping Affairs Center immediately activated an emergency plan, quickly dispatched rescue boats, unmanned aerial vehicles, and remote-controlled intelligent life-saving devices to successfully rescue the people who fell into the water, and carried out fire-fighting treatment ships and emergency treatment to prevent water pollution by using oil booms and oil absorbent pads.
