Xianhai District 2021 water emergency security incident rescue drill was held

In order to further improve the actual combat capabilities and emergency rescue decision-making and command capabilities of the water emergency rescue team in Xianhai Scenic Area for rescue of overwhelmed tourists, ship firefighting, and transfer of distressed tourists, etc., to minimize the personnel caused by sudden water safety accidents casualties and economic losses. The rescue drill for emergency water safety incidents in Xianhai District in 2021 will be held in Xianhai Lake Scenic Area.

The subjects of this drill include: emergency handling of drowning personnel; emergency handling of ship fires; emergency handling of ship oil spills by using oil booms and oil absorbent pads. Under the order of the command center, emergency functional departments such as maritime affairs, public security, fire fighting, and 120 emergency centers acted immediately to carry out rescue operations. People who fell into the water and injured were rescued and transferred to hospitals. Tourists in distress were safely transferred, ship fires were extinguished, and pollutants were successfully contained and cleared, and the ship in distress was towed to berth in safe waters.
