Waterway dredging project of Changzhou section passed the co

Recently, the three-stage waterway dredging project of Changzhou Section og Sunan Canal was passed the completion of acceptance.
 
It was reported that the purpose of dredging was to quickly make the Changzhou section of the Sunan Canal reach the level of three-stage waterway depth standard. The total dredging mileage was nearly 43.8 kilometers (excluding the Yuanqishuyan section and Zhongtiangang section). The project was officially launched in May and completed by the end of April, 2017, it will finished in early one month. This project was used some silt curtains for preventing silt and protecting the environment.
 
After the completion of dredging project, the water depth of the waterway was increased by 70 centimeters, and the navigation capacity of the ship was upgraded from 500 tons to 1000 tons, which was greatly improved the freight capacity of waterway and saved the cost of enterprise transportation. In addition, after dredging the three-stage waterway of the Changzhou section of the Sunan Canal was also improved the capacity of storage and water, and it was greatly increased the flood control and flood storage capacity of Changzhou area, it will effectively alleviate flood control pressure in the flood season of Changzhou.
