Nansha held 2018 comprehensive water traffic emergency drill

On the morning of January 24, 2018, in order to further improve the emergency rescue and comprehensive coordination ability of the water emergency in the Nasha Area, examine the scientificalness and operability the emergency rescue plan for the passenger ferry in Humen Highway Ferry, and check the preparedness of emergency team, material, equipment and technology for the accident. The district Construction and Transportation Bureau and the Nansha Maritime department were jointly and successfully hosted the comprehensive emergency drills for the water traffic emergencies in the Nansha Area near the Dongfa Wharf, Shi Yong deputy director from Development zone CMC attended and served as the commander of this drill, Li Siqiang director from Nansha Maritime Department was treated as Deputy Commander, District construction traffic, maritime, propaganda, emergency, public security, fire fighting, Safety supervision, civil affairs, health, Nansha Street and other units were participated in the drill.
 
This drill through simulated the collision between the ferry and "Suigang Environmental Protection No. 3rd" ship, it was led to a ferry personnel was fallen into the water, the ferry right cabin was fire and loss of power, the cabin of "Suiguang Environmental protection No. 3rd" ship was damaged, part of the sewage spill and other scenes, it was exercised the rescue of the drowning personnel, ship fire, ship rescue, oil spill disposal these four subjects.
 
After the incident, our district was immediately set up emergency disposal group, the security coordination group, medical ambulance group, aftercare treatment group and accident investigation group these 5 emergency teams, and organized more than 120 people to the scene, they also dispatched patrol ships, fire ships, warning ships, ferry and clean-up ships and 1 unmanned aircraft vehicle to the incident waters for actively carrying out emergency rescue. It was used oil skimmers for oil recovery, and used oil booms for controlling oil spill. Finally, the spilled oil was all cleaned. The drill was successfully completed.
 
The exercise program was formulated carefully, the scene was set scientifically and reasonably, during the course of the drill, all the participating units was seriously performed duties, cooperated closely, the on-site command decision was calm and decisive, the division of staffs was clear, the process was tension and orderly. Through this drill, it was further enhanced the practice of organizational units, participating units and personnel, such as the proficiency of contingency plans, enhanced the coordination of all units, improved emergency response and emergency handling capacity, and further clarified the responsibility of the relevant units and personnel tasks, it was achieved the desired objectives and got a successful outcome.
 
The drill is also a demonstration of the water rescue force in the Nansha Area, which will play a positive role in promoting the standardized development of emergency management of water emergencies in the Nansha Area and maintain the stability of the water security situation.
