On January 12, 2018, In order to test the emergency handling ability of the anomaly in oil pipelines, recently, the Honghu Development and Reform Bureau was combined with Sinopec Jingmen Oil Transportation Department Honghu station, it was organized to carry out the external pipelines oil spill emergency drill. They laid out oil pipelines to carry out oil spill disposal and used oil absorbent mats and oil skimmer for carrying out oil spill recovery and disposal.
 
It is understood that the Development and Reform Bureau was considered as the the lead unit of the city's oil and gas long pipelines of Security Special Committee, they were seriously organized relevant departments and enterprises to learn "on the promotion of safety in the field of reform and development of the views", and signed the management responsibility of the safety production target to the oil and gas pipeline enterprises, issued the organization program and work task of Honghu Oil and gas pipeline Safety Production Professional committee, and organized the production safety inspection of oil and gas long pipelines several times, checked the hidden dangers and actively prevented, it was ensured the safety of the whole city on oil and gas long pipelines.
