A water oil spill emergency drill was carried out in the Bad

    On June 15, Changjiang Yichang Maritime Bureau and Hubei Badong County People's government were carried out water oil spill emergency drill in the Bading Changdu River of Sanxia Reservoir area, this drill was the largest ship oil spill emergency drills in the Yangtze River Line Badong section this year.
 
    This drill was totally dispatched 11 emergency ships, 10participating units, more than 80 people were participated in this drill, it was simulated that there was happened a collision accident when the accident ship was sailed down to Badong Changdu River, after self-help, the breach has been blocked, there was no casualties, and it had estimated an 3 tons of diesel "leakage." Yichang Badong Marine Department was immediately started emergency plan; they organized the ships to lay out the oil booms, cast oil skimmer, put oil absorbent mats and other oil-prevention equipment. After nearly 40 minutes of coordination operations, leakage diesel was successfully collected and disposed.
 
    According to introduction of Zhou Yi, deputy director of the Yichang Maritime Bureau, the drill was aimed to test the emergency handling capacity of water oil spill in the Sanxia Reservoir area and the performance of Badong water pollution emergency equipment, which was of great significance to prevent the contamination of the waters of the Sanxia Reservoir area.
