    In order to improve the ability and level of dealing with maritime emergencies, and comprehensively test the practicability and operability of the maritime search and rescue contingency plan, 2017 Liaodong Bay maritime search and rescue comprehensive drill was successfully held in the Jinzhou Sea area.
 
    The drill was hosted by the Liaoning provincial government, Liaoning Maritime Search and Rescue Center, municipal government and city Maritime search and Rescue Center were the organizers. At 9:40 a.m., this drill was simulated the collision between the "Liaodongwan" tanker and a fishing boat when the tanker was sailing in the sea, it was caused that the ship's bow was fire, the fishing boat was sank and 5 people in the ship were all fell overboard. After received the call for help, the maritime search and rescue center was verified the site information in time and then launched the "Jinzhou Maritime search and Rescue contingency plan", and reported to the municipal government and Liaoning Maritime Search and Rescue Center. City Maritime search and rescue center was set up emergency command team and formulated rescue plan, organized personnel, fire and clean-up forces for rescue, Field Commander Command search and rescue forces was used parallel search mode and fan mode to search for people in the water. City Maritime Search and Rescue Center was sent rescue helicopters to participate in search and rescue, while arranging fire ships through water cooling, foam spraying for extinguishing. "Liaodongwan" tank was happened fuel leakage, on-site clean-up forces was laid out oil booms to prevent the spreading of spilled oil, used oil skimmer, oil absorbent mats and oil dispersant to deal with oil spill. It was lasted 3 hours, people in distress were rescued, the fire was completely extinguished, oil spill was controlled, and oil pollution was effectively removed. The drill was completed successfully. This drill was more than 300 performers, 16 ships, 1 aircraft, an ambulance and fire engines participated.
