Lianshui 2018 rural river dredging project fully carried out

    Lianshui County has numerous rivers and ditches, the rural rivers has not been dredged for many years, water is not smooth, and is coupled with serious soil erosion, it was resulted in river silting, which affecting irrigation and drainage. In order to conform to the expectations of the masses and solve the bottleneck restricting the development of "three rural areas", Lianshui County was listed rural river dredging and regulation project into people's livelihood "for the private practical work" in 2018, it plans to invest 8.45 million Yuan, dredges 4 county rivers and 63 township rivers, regulates 59 ponds, the cumulative excavation will be 2.3 million squares.
 
    Lianshui County rural river dredging and regulation project will start in mid-March, plan to complete the dredging task by the end of April, after the completion of the project, the river flood will not happen in 20 years, the river, the waterlogging will resist 5-10 years. It can improve 45,700 mu irrigation area, 114,000 mu drainage area, it will plant more than 100,000 trees, the annual increase in grain production will increased to 2.9 million kilograms, it can add 5.34 million Yuan value. The water quality of the rivers in the countryside is improved obviously, and the irrigation and drainage capacity is improved significantly, which will greatly improve the agro-ecological environment and rural landscape.
