Recently Jiawang District was Launched 2018 Emergency Rescue Drill for Dangerous Chemical Production Safety Accidents. It was kicked off at the Jiangsu Jiali Fine Chemical Co., Ltd. The on-site simulation scenario was the occurrence of toluene leakage at the workshop of Jiangsu Jiali Fine Chemical Co., Ltd. A large amount of toluene was gushed out, which was causing poisoning of the personnel and the danger of burning and exploding.
 
After the “accident” occurred, the district immediately launched an emergency response plan. The safety supervision, fire control, traffic police, and environmental protection departments conducted joint operations. The relevant personnel responded quickly, commanded well, cooperated closely, and handled properly. Two fire engines, one emergency vehicle and 120 ambulances were deployed, through the multiple party’s efforts from fire prevention teams, emergency rescue teams, liaison groups, medical rescue teams, and other departments, the "accidents" were successfully disposed at the first time, the "wounded" was properly treated, and it was used some chemical absorbent pads for absorbing the toluene and used oil skimmer for toluene recovery, so it was not caused secondary environmental pollution accidents.
 
The comprehensive emergency drill for hazardous chemicals safety production accidents is a real-life inspection of the emergency response capabilities of the government and enterprises such as emergency command, on-site emergency rescue, medical rescue, and environmental monitoring. Through drills, the accidents of hazardous chemicals production accidents have been further improved. The emergency plan has improved the overall response capacity for the handling of safety production accidents and the actual combat capability of emergency rescue teams for emergency rescue and disaster relief to ensure the safety of life and property of the people.
