The Linquan Section waterway regulation project will completed by June 2018

The reporter was recently learned from the Linquan Water Affairs Bureau that Linquan section waterway regulation project has now entered the implementation phase and it is expected that the project will be completed before the end of June 2018.
Fenquan River is the only navigable river in Linquan County. Currently, it is a Class VI waterway that can only be seasonally navigated, and it is difficult to meet the needs of economic and social development in the hinterland. The Anhui section waterway regulation project will be constructed according to the restrictive Class IV waterway standards. It will dredge from Qiwan to Shaying River; the total mileage of the project is 74.6 kilometers, of which the Linquan section is about 45 kilometers. The main construction contents were included dredging projects by using silt curtains and dredger, bank protection projects, buoy engineering, bridge anti-collision projects and supporting projects. At present, the relevant departments of Linquan County are making joint efforts to promote the construction of the project. It is expected that by the end of October, temporary land selection and compensation will be completed for the project's temporary dumping of mud, spoil areas, etc.
The relevant person from Linquan County introduced, after completion of the Anhui section waterway regulation project in the Fenquan River, the navigation waterway class will be upgraded in two levels. The navigable vessels will be upgraded from the current 300 to 1,000 tons, and the ship passage rate and turnover volume of the fairway will also be increased. It will play an active role in improving the Fuyang water network, water transport capacity, and assisting local economic and social development.
