Shanghai Minhang Maritime Bureau held Water Emergency Emergency Drill

At 9:30 a.m., with the order of the on-site general commander, the water comprehensive emergency drill was officially begun. It was simulated when the "Dehong XXX" tanker was berthed in the construction platform of the main pier of the Sanqiao No. 3 Bridge, the oil pipelines has burst, the main unit has failed, the personnel was fell on the river, and the pollution was occurred. The ship was fallen out of control and hit the construction platform, and then the captain issued a distress signal. Under the command of the Minhang Maritime Bureau, three patrol boats such as the "Ocean Patrol 01707" , "Ocean Patrol 01012" boat and the "Ocean Patrol 01043" boat rushed to the incident waters. At the same time, they coordinated with the neighboring maritime administrative agencies such as Minhang District Local Maritime Office and Fengxian District Local Maritime Office, and they also contacted professional rescue forces such as Dongan Cleaning Company and Wanghua Salvage Company to assist.
 
After an hour and a half of intense assistance, the participating units and search and rescue forces worked in close cooperation, they successfully completed the tasks such as personnel search and rescue, ship fire fighting, and ship pollution removal by using oil absorbent pads and oil booms. A person in the river was successfully rescued. The ship was effectively controlled and the oil spill on the river was successfully cleared. The event was achieved a complete success.
 
This comprehensive emergency drill mobilized 13 vessels of maritime patrol boats, professional rescue forces and ambulance vehicles, many people from Minhang Maritime Bureau, Minhang District, Fengxian District Local Maritime Department, Shanghai Kunyang Road, Yuejiang and supporting road projects department, Shanghai Wanghua Salvage Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Dongan Water Pollution Prevention Center Co., Ltd. participated in this drill, and it was fully demonstrated the powerful synergy of multi-sector collaborative emergency search.
