Qiqihar Maritime Bureau carried out the 2018 ship oil spill emergency drill

In accordance with the deployment of the “Safety Production Month” campaign for water transportation in the Heilongjiang Maritime Bureau, and at the same time examined the rapid response capability of the maritime department in the oil spill accident of the ship. At 15 o'clock on the June 26th, the Qiqihar Maritime Bureau conducted a 2018 ship oil spill emergency response drill in the Nenjiang waters of the North Pier on the Mingyue Island in Qiqihar.
 
It is understood that the main simulation of the drill site was the suddern failure of Qigeyou 212 ship host, the ship lost power. Afterwards, due to the maintenance of the ship's main engine, no anti-pollution treatment resulted in the leakage of marine fuel, and then it was happened an oil spill accident. The crew immediately reported to the maritime department. After receiving the accident warning, the Qiqihar Maritime Bureau immediately launched the “Qiqihar City Water Spill Oil Contingency Plan” and dispatched the Bukui Maritime Department rescue forces to rush to the accident water area for carrying out a series of emergency disposals such as ship oil spills.
 
After received the order, the sea patrol 13419 ship firstly rushed to the incident waters to look for a favorable opportunity to catch up on Qigeyou 212 ship, and used a cable to secure the two ships. The search and rescue personnel guided the passengers to orderly transfer to the sea patrol 13419 ship, and then the Sea Patrol 13422 and the Sea Patrol 32007 ships arrived one after another. The two ships put a large number of oil absorbent pads under the oil spilling waters, used the properties of the absorbing the fuel in the water. After ten minutes, the oil was quickly removed. At this point, all the drill was perfectly ended.
 
According to reports, the drill adopted the scriptless principle, organized closely, and cooperated in a tacit understanding. It involved two subjects, such as distressed ship personnel transfer and ship oil spill disposal. The drill was closely linked with the actual situation of water search and rescue and water spills and effectively tested water emergency response capability of Qiqihar Maritime Bureau, and it has accumulated valuable experience for the emergency handling of major oil spill incidents.
