Xuyi Maritime conducted ship oil spill emergency drill

In order to further improve the emergency response capability of water emergencies, on the afternoon of June 29, Jiangsu Province Xuyi Maritime carried out ship oil spill emergency drill in the waters of the Huaihe River Scenic Area.
 
This drill was simulated when the Su Jinlongyou 009 refueling vessel carried out operations in the Huaihe River scenery waters; it was collided with a cargo ship. Then it would cause oil spills. The owner used the mobile phone to seek assistance from the Maritime Water Traffic Command Center. After received the rescue call, they immediately reported to the leader of the day, quickly issued the “Emergency Plan for the Oil Spill Pollution Incident of the Ship”, and ordered the dispatch of three maritime boats and a high-speed boat to carry 200 meters of solid float-type oil booms and oil-absorbent pads. The two maritime boats are responsible for the temporary control of the upstream and downstream of the incident waters. The high-speed boat led a maritime boat after the site survey, and deployed oil booms on the upper left side of the refueling vessel. At the same time, the other end of the boom was slowly towed from the lower waters to the right side of the tanker. After less than 30 minutes, the refueling vessel and the incident waters were circled, it was effectively controlled the water pollution incident caused by the oil spill. The drill was achieved a complete success.
 
After the end of the drill, the maritime summarized the drills in time, and it was further tested the ability to effectively deal with water emergencies, and it was laid a solid foundation for better serving the economic development of water transport.
