Three major oil companies carry out maritime emergency joint drill

On July 20, PetroChina, Sinopec and CNOOC held a maritime emergency joint drill in the Huanghua Sea area, aiming to further strengthen the regional emergency response of the three companies and continuously improve the coordination capabilities of the rescue forces.
 
This drill was simulated when the crude oil storage tank in the process of external transmission, due to the shutdown of the nitrogen generator, the air entered the storage tank. The spontaneous combustion of the tank wall caused the storage tank to flash, and caused casualties and oil leakage.
 
The Participating units and personnel concentrated on many subjects such as marine firefighting, medical care for the wounded, search and rescue of marine personnel, oil spill emergency response, analysis and judgment of land emergency command center, emergency decision-making, land and sea information transmission, public opinion monitoring and media response and emergency linkage.
 
The drill was hosted by China National Offshore Oil Corporation Co., Ltd., undertaken by Tianjin Branch and co-organized by CNOOC Environmental Protection Services (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. The participating units were included more than 10 units of CNOOC, PetroChina and Sinopec. A total of 7 ships, 1 helicopter, 2 drones, 400 meters of inflatable oil booms and 1 set of multi-function oil skimmer were used. More than 100 people participated in the drill. Relevant personnel from the National Emergency Rescue Command Center, PetroChina, Sinopec and other units observed the drill.
 
The China National Offshore Emergency Response Center dispatched the “China Oil Emergency 103 Ship” to participate in the drills to protect the Tianjin Ancient Coast and Wetland National Nature Reserve, intercepting and recovering oil spills, it fully demonstrated the good manners of the Chinese oil emergency personnel.
 
The drill was close to actual combat. Through this drill, it was further improved the level of specialization, actual combat capability and command coordination of emergency response between rescue forces. The drill achieved its intended purpose.
